    Galerie Vivienne The Galerie Vivienne has three entrances: 4, rue des Petits-Champs - 6, rue Vivienne - 5, rue de la Banque - 75002 Paris. ​ The Galerie Vivienne was inaugurated in 1826. ​ Its story begins when the president of the Chamber of Notaries, Maître Marchoux, expresses his wish to build the most beautiful and attractive gallery in Paris. ​ He wants to create a leading shopping area where the Parisian elite could stroll and have fun. ​ Under the supervision of architects François-Jean Delannoy and Jacques Deschamps, construction began in 1823. under the name “Galerie Marchoux”. ​ The gallery stretches 176 meters long and is designed in a Pompeian neoclassical style, with Corinthian columns, frescoes and delicate ornaments. ​ A spectacular glass roof bathes the interior in natural light and an imposing dome sits at the center. ​ Galerie Vivienne is open every day between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
